INVOKING THE POWER OF SLOW

About KAS

kannitha is a publication for artists and art lovers living and working outside of capitalist time. Spotlighting artists working with an invisible disability, chronic illness and neurodiversity.

In an act of disability justice, KAS offers a promotional space run in conjunction with crip-time. Volunteer run by chronically ill and neurodivergent artists we understand the financial and physical difficulties this entails. Therefore the gallery works without the pressure of fees or deadlines, as an experimental space, inspired by the innovations made during Covid lockdown, we are discovering new ways of working and thank you for your patience as we endeavour to participate through a post-capitalist space.

about

As a Melbourne based artist and arts writer with various chronic illnesses including ME/CFS generating vast waste lands of PEM, (but don't worry we have cats and a ceiling decorated in origami). I also help run an avant guard tiny gallery with my best friend and fellow SLOWPOKE collaborator. It’s all very anti capitalist, artist loving, punk rock. My aim is to replicate the online experience for artists living in crip-time without the pressure of deadlines and installs.
